Richard is the charismatic managing director and co-founder of Bristol based user experienced agency, CX Partners. He’s also the author of Communicating the User Experience, a book which dissects the various tools and techniques we use on a daily basis.
We’ve long been fans of the work these guys do and see them very much as kindred sprits. So when we saw Richard speak at UX Bristol a few years back, we knew that he’d be the perfect fit for UX London.
When he’s not running workshops, giving presentations and helping his clients with their strategic vision, Richard is a keen baker and cyclist—two activities close to our own hearts here at Clearleft.
Task modelling: Understanding what people want and how to design for it
Richard is fascinated with the notion that we need to create spaces in which people can play in order to complete their tasks. This workshop will expand on this idea using theory, practical activities and case studies. Attendees will learn tools and techniques to gain a deeper understanding of how people think and understand better how we, as designers, need to allow for what we uncover.
