When putting together the programme for UX London 2013, we wanted to showcase some of the best speaking talent the UK had to offer. Tom Hulme was an obvious choice.
As well as being design director at IDEO, Tom is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor. So he has a unique insight into the power that design has over the digital products we create.
We’ve seen Tom speak at numerous events, including Product Tank and The Pioneers Festival and have always been impressed with his enthusiastic delivery and no-nonsense approach to design.
Added to that he is a thoroughly lovely chap, so well worth tapping up for a drink in the bar afterwards. So if you haven’t seen Tom speak before, we feel that you’re in for a treat.
How the art of design is changing with shifts in technology, tools and participation. Tom will discuss some of the big trends effecting design and give examples of how designers might harness them to increase impact. This will draw on examples of IDEO’s work, OpenIDEO and some of his startup investments.
